Marble River Rock is a tumbled stone that does not have any sharp edges and comes in a variety of sizes. The stones are slightly polished to bring out their intrinsic color while maintaining a natural look. We use an acid wash as our stone polishing method, as opposed to a resin coating that other vendors frequently use to polish stone. The advantage with acid washing is there are no chemical residues and the polish is longer lasting than a synthetic coating. The onyx itself neutralizes the same acid that washes it. Super polish is available upon request.
Marble river rock is an excellent choice for various purposes. It may be used in construction of flooring, shower floors, walkways, patios, and landscaping. They may also be used to decorate flowerbeds, flower pots, vases, terrariums and fountains. These beautiful tumbled stones can protect top soil from erosion while helping to retain soil moisture. Marble is naturally alkalinizing and neutralizes acidity found in the environment from pollution or naturally acidic soils. Plants that prefer a neutral to slightly higher PH love marble, including succulents, cacti, boxwood, pride of Barbados, clematis, lilacs, geraniums, hydrangeas, yarrow, salvia, among many others.
